Place: RUPERT Children Home, Kifaru

On Monday 26th of August 2019 the donors of RUPERT children home; Ms. Marilena & Ms. Akhila from Italy visited the SMA Mission Tanzania. RUPERT children organized welcome ceremony for the guests in the evening. Program began with prayer song performed by the RUPERT children followed by Fr. Joseph Rodrigues Director of RUPERT children home introduced the guests and welcomed them and others people present.

Children of RUPERT home presented various cultural and traditional programs during this ceremony. Mission Superior Rev. Fr. Alwyn M. J. D’Souza spoke at this occasion and thanked the donors for their contribution to realize this children home. He thanked all the members of ‘INSIEME PER L’INDIA ONLUS’ organization Italy, who are working tirelessly for the benefit of these children. After his speech on behalf of the mission he felicitated the guests with traditional Maasai shawl and Fr. Joseph & Fr. George presented the gifts to the guests, followed by all children of RUPERT home and parish council members of Kifaru parish presented their gifts to the guests. In response the guests thanked all for the wonderful gesture and for honoring them. School headmaster Rev. Fr. Victor Machado prayed over the meals. At the end Mrs. Leonarda Laghua spoke on behalf of Kifaru parishioners and thanked the guests, then she proposed vote of thanks. Sumptuous meal was prepared for all.
