Place: Immaculate Conception of Mary parish, Kifaru

On Saturday 3rd of August 2019 at Kifaru parish 80 children and 2 adults received the sacrament of confirmation. The day began with welcoming of day’s main celebrant Rev. Fr. Elias, parish priest of Cathedral parish same. Parishioners in procession entered the parish took part in the Holy Eucharist. Rev. Fr. Elias was the main celebrant of the day, mission superior Rev. Fr. Alwyn M. J. D’Souza, school headmaster Rev. Fr. Victor Machado, Asst. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues, Hostel Director Rev. Fr. George Crasta and Fr. Germin William Longio, St. Augustine University Arusha were the concelebrants.

Children from Kifaru parish, students of St. Joseph Secondary and students of Kifaru Govt. Secondary took the sacrament of Confirmation. There were 80 children and 2 adults who received the confirmation. Children organized the day’s liturgy and Kifaru choir members conducted the melodious choir. All the children were given one each blesses Holy bible.

After the Holy Eucharist during the formal program Fr. Elias congratulated all the children who received the sacrament and appreciated the parishioners and catechists.  Mission superior Fr. Alwyn while addressing congratulated the children and thanked Fr. Eliuas and Fr. Germin. Parish council members felicitated both the guest priests. Sisters from Marian Convent were present for the program. At the end Fr.
