Disaster Management Meeting with District Engineer and Officials

Place: Mission House, SMAM Kifaru.

In the month of May 2018 on the request of SMA mission the Mwanga district DED representative, district engineer, town plan officer and TAN road engeeners visited the Kifaru & kituri village and inspected the flood affected area. In the short meeting the SMA Misssion members were present to explain the damage happened in the village due to floods. Fr. Alwyn explainned the officers about floods, reasons and how to harvest the rain water from mountain through vedio visuals.

There was discussion how the district Govt. could help to save these villages from the further problems. Govt. officials promised to take this matter to heiher level and to get needed help. They also promisedd to conduct survey of the mountain and to make an estimation about the costing. After the meeting all members visited different flood effected areas in the village.
