Feb 10, 2017: SMAM Same, Tanzania

God has bestowed his many graces over the Society of Mangalore Africa Mission, the 50 acres of land at Kwanyange village is one of them. It is the effort of pioneer missionaries Fr. Alwyn & Fr. Ronald along with many other local well-wishers. Today SMAM want to utilize the land and to develop the agriculture training for the poor youth of the Mwanga district & Kilimanjaro region.

In the process the land is already acquired by SMAM by meeting all necessary Govt. formalities. Now the process of cleaning the land is begun. Total 50 acres are cleaned by manual hard work. 4 teams of local villagers are working in the land to clean it & out the fence. It is providing the daily earnings to the villagers. Soon SMAM want to start with small scale cultivation so it can provide better & nutritious food for the students of SJBSSS.

There are many future plans for the said land to accomplish & realize such as, Drinking water for village people, Agricultural training, Farming in Piggery, Poultry, cattle, market study & opportunity for small scale entrepreneur etc. we look forward many generous helping hands & well-wishers to realize this dream.
