Place: Chaga Live Museum & Marangu Water Falls, Kilimanjaro.

On Thursday 8th of December 2016 a day long outing/ picnic was organized for the 90 Pre-Form students & teachers of St. Joseph Boy’s Science Secondary School, Kituri, Mwanga. The preparations began on 7th evening as all the students happily gathered in helping to prepare the picnic food along with Mr. Kirimiya, the hostel cook and others. Students were happy as they were already in the picnic mood and joyfully shared the responsibilities.

 

 

 

 

 

On 8th morning all students got up very early and got ready by 7.30 a.m. After the morning breakfast students gathered for the assembly and Mr. Prashanth gave them picnic details. At 9 a.m. all students got into the 2 buses which drew them to the Chaga live museum. Mr. Mamero the retired teacher and guide at museum explained the life, history, heritage of Chaga people.

After the museum students travelled to Marangu Water Falls and as they reached they took tea break and enjoyed the snacks and juice, followed by all students entered to the water falls. Water was very chilled as students enjoyed along with hot sun. Almost 2 hour’s students enjoyed at water fall and then came up for the food. Delicious lunch was served for the students.

 

 

 

 

 

After the lunch German volunteers Mr. Fabian & Mr. Bijon conducted the games for the students. At the end Rev. Fr. Alwyn M. J. D’Souza, Manager of the school addressed the students and Mr. Prashanth D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks. Warden Rev. Fr. Jason Lobo and teachers Mr. Martin & Mr. Bryson were present during the picnic.
