St. Joseph Boys Science Secondary School, Kituri, Mwanga

 

Saturday 23 July 2016 was memorable day for the students of St. Joseph Boys Science Secondary School, today they ventured to have a unit of Tanzania Young Catholic Students [TYCS] at their school and got connected to the movement which is spread all over the world.

Program began at 03.00 pm with the prayer service, after reading the word of God; Spiritual Director Rev. Fr. Hilary Lobo gave the reflection & students sang the hymn.  Form 3 student Mr. Nicas P Mtui welcomed the dignitaries which followed the Inauguration ofTYCS unit. Rev. Fr. Alwyn M. J. D’Souza, School Manager, Inaugurated the TYCS- SJBSSS unit by unveiling the Plaque. While addressing the students he explained the History &Importance of YCS in the studentlife, he gave the call to be the agents of change within and in the society.

 

 

 

 

 

Rev. Fr. Victor Machado, School headmaster motivated the students and asked them to make use of opportunities given through TYCS. At the end Rev. Fr. Jason Lobo proposed the votes of thanks and by singing school anthem concluded the program.

After the inaugural ceremony Rev. Fr. Jason Lobo,Warden, Animator of TYCS conducted the first ever meeting of the TYCS, which followed by the election for the year 2016-17, the elected office bearers are;
