Good Friday Service was conducted in Ki Swahili language by Fr Ronald Pinto and Fr Alwyn D Souza at the Mangalore Africa Mission Headquarters at Kifaru Church, Same Diocese, Tanzania, East Africa.

29th March 2013:

At 2.30 pm the Way of the Cross began near the International Highway and moved through the Kifaru Village, praying and meditating on the Stations of the Cross.  The Good Friday Service was held in the Church Building that is under construction at Kifaru Mission Station. Its a small Christian Community lives in the village. (Most of them belong to Pare Tribe) attended the service along with the people from neighbouring Kalimani and Kilio Villages.  The Good Friday  Service concluded at 5 pm.

It was indeed a great joy for Fr Ronald and myself to be able to minister to the spiritual needs of these simple people and specially to conduct the Good Friday Service in Ki Swahili in the African Bantu Language (which was alien to us until November 2012).

30th March 2013 - Easter Vigil:

Easter Vigil Mass will begin by night fall at Kifaru (We begin the Easter Vigil early because there is no electricity or solar lighting in the area).  Fr. Ronald will be the main celebrant.  At Mwanga Church (the mother Parish) will have the Vigil Mass at 8 pm.

31st March 2013 - Easter Sunday:

Easter Sunday Eucharist will be celebrated by  Fr Alwyn D Souza and Fr Ronald Pinto at: KIFARU Mission Station at 7.15am; KALIMANI Mission Station at 9.00 am and KILIO Mission Station at 11 am.
