Place: Immaculate Conception of Mary Parish, Kifaru Tanzania.

On Sunday 15th of September 2019 the Mangalore community members at same diocese celebrated the nativity feast at Immaculate Conception of Mary Parish Kifaru. Celebration began at 11 am by veneration of mother Mary. SMAM Priests and religious sisters from Native of Mangalore and of African origin from Ursuline Franciscan sisters, Bethany Sisters and Grail Sisters congregation and children from RUPERT children home were present. Asst. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues welcomed every one and Rev. Fr. Charles Menezes conducted the prayer service, followed by all members offered flowers to mother Mary. After the veneration SMAM members felicitated Fr. Charles for his service as international chaplain of IIYCS.

After the veneration all gathered at Parish house for the celebration, in the beginning all who present introduced themselves followed by Fr. Charles Menezes conducted few action songs and games. After the games all were served New Corn along with Vorn (Payasam). Delicious lunch was prepared for all members, around 18 varieties of food dishes were prepared by cooking team. After the lunch all had few moments for group dance to share their joy. At the end mission superior Rev. Fr. Alwyn M. J. D’Souza proposed vote of thanks.
