On 21st of January 2020 Mr. Charles Camera from catholic diocese of Stockholm Sweden, together with Fr. Victor Machado from SMAM, had a meeting with Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Catholic diocese of Mangalore India and his team of councilors. The meeting went on very well and councilors of Mangalore diocese were eager to hear opinion about the SMA Mission, about past collaboration with Stockholm Diocese (CDSS) and possible future collaboration.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Bishop and team were happy to know that CDSS has been involved with SMAM for several years and in different ways CDSS has contributed towards developing the mission, such as assisting with funds for various constructions of buildings, science laboratories, PCM workshops, CPR training programmes, Farm development and Parish development. Mr. Charles also explained that CDSS is also helping Same Diocese with a few limited projects, such as Youth development, PCM workshop, CPR training programmes, Piggery project in one of the parishes, educational support, civil education support and support to participate in the WYD. Regarding SMAM, he also mentioned that,

They were amazed to hear that the mission is going on very well due to the commitment and knowledge among all the priests, brothers and laypersons involved - present and past members. Mr. Charles also stressed that there is plenty of potential and scope to further develop the mission and its various sectors such as in education, farming - agriculture, pastoral and in social-development work. At the end Bishop felicitated Mr. Charles on behalf of Mangalore diocese.
